For more information, visit the school’s official Financing Your Education page. regions: Seattle The Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics recently received a $2.3 million donation, one of the largest gifts in the school’s history. The gift came from the estate of Mary Agnes and Raymond Guernsey, a local Seattle couple, and will be used to establish a new scholarship fund.The Mary Agnes and Raymond Guernsey Endowed Scholarship Fund will be used to help improve the diversity of undergraduate students at the Albers School and help students with significant financial need. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be enrolled full time in the Albers School and demonstrate financial need. The first eligible class to receive the award will be students entering the School in the 2018-19 academic year.Upon receiving the gift, Dean Joe Phillips said in a recent news story, “Albers is very grateful to receive this gift from the Guernsey’s. These scholarship funds will give more students access to the transformative education provided by Seattle University and Albers.” Other Albers School ScholarshipsThere are quite a few other scholarships available to Albers School graduate and undergraduate students. MBA candidates have the opportunity to receive the Albers Professional MBA Merit Scholarship. To be eligible, candidates will need to fill out the application, which includes a brief essay, and submit their responses by September 1, 2017.
