Huntington Station House Fire Leaves Man Dead

first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A 76-year-old man died in a Huntington Station house fire on Thursday night, Suffolk County police said.Officers responded to the blaze on Dawson Street, where firefighters entered the burning house and extracted Henry Lindemann, who was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he died at 9 p.m., police said.The victim’s 68-year-old sister, Diane, escaped the fire but was treated at the same hospital for smoke inhalation, police said.Firefighters from the Huntington Manor Fire Department, Huntington Fire Department, Melville Fire Department, Greenlawn Fire Department, Dix Hills Fire Department and Halesite Fire Department extinguished the flames.Investigators do not believe the cause of the fire to be suspicious. Homicide Section and Arson Section detectives are continuing the investigation.last_img
