On Saturday, September 22, 2018, photographers, filmmakers, illustrators and stylists came together for the 2nd annual Photo Shoot for a Cure party at District Hall in Boston. The evening raised over $54,000 for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research—topping $100,000 to date since its launch in 2016.The party featured photo booths for portraits, fashion photography, headshots, and more. The evening also featured make up by Sephora Prudential Center, hair styling by James Joseph Salon, a Styling Booth by The TJX Companies, manicures by Polished Nail Boutique, a Braid & Pony bar by Blo Blow Dry Bar Seaport, a pop up gallery presented by Big Picture Framing and Adorama featuring the work of Boston photographers, live portrait illustrations by Victoria Bornstein, an interactive art project and showcase by The Art Cart, and more!The party was sponsored by Boston magazine, Voyager Therapeutics, Acorda Therapeutics, Sunovion, District Hall, and The TJX Companies, among others. Photo Shoot for a Cure is produced by advertising and editorial photographer Diana Levine, in support of her mom, who was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease 14 years ago.
